Kristian Dragge passes away

Once again sad news from the Pennywise family:
PENNYWISE FAMILY SUFFERS LOSS
KRISTIAN DRAGGE, BROTHER OF FLETCHER DRAGGE, PASSED AWAY OVER THE WEEKEND
April 10, 2009— Sadly, the Pennywise family has suffered another loss. On Sunday, April 5, 2009, Kristian Dragge, little brother of Pennywise lead guitarist Fletcher Dragge, tragically passed away at the young age of 39. He left behind his fiancée, Cindy Linn Groeneweg, and their 1-month old baby girl, Avery Nycole Dragge, as well as his mother Karen Dragge.
The following is from older brother Fletcher Dragge:
My brother Kristian has been a member of the South Bay punk rock scene since 1980 and was at one time the guitar player in the infamous Smut Peddlers. He was a legend in the punk rock community and was well know for his hell-raising antics, along with his fierce loyalty to friends and family. He will be greatly missed by everyone. He has been a huge part of the Pennywise family since Day One.
I remember him helping me hang the carpet to soundproof the garage that we formed Pennywise in. I also remember him lugging our equipment from gig to gig, starting mosh pits, as well as the fight he got into the very first time Pennywise ever played live. It was a backyard party in Redondo Beach.
It was about four songs into the set when he was jumped by three guys. We all stopped playing, dropped our guitars and jumped in to help him, just like he would have done for any of us. That’s what Pennywise has always been about, taking care of family. That’s why we are setting up a trust fund for his month old baby girl Avery Nycole, in order to assure that she has everything she’ll ever need growing up.
Any donations at this time would be greatly appreciated. There is no amount too small, anything will help. Thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in this time of need, it has been overwhelming.
KRISTIAN YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN R.I.P.
Love your brother Fletcher.....Jim, Byron, and Randy.
Jagermeister Music Tour

Hi all,
I'm finally back after being out of commission for a while, so finally time to put some news on the site. As you all probably know, Pennywise and Pepper are together playing the Jägermeister Music Tour. A lot of dates in the US, so check the Tourdates-section for all info.
R.I.P. Dartis McMackin

Some sad news was stated on the Pennywise MySpace blog:
Sunday night, January 4, Dartis Marie McMackin, mother to Pennywise drummer Byron McMackin, passed away. Known around her Lawndale, California neighborhood as the funny, little lady who proudly wore her Pennywise t-shirt to the grocery store, Dartis will be greatly missed. Byron and the rest of the band are grateful for your support in this time of sorrow.

R.I.P DARTIS MCMACKIN
OUR CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE MCMACKINS AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO KNEW DARTIS. SHE WAS A FUNNY LITTLE LADY THAT LOVED HER KIDS AND WAS VERY PROUD OF THEM AS WELL. SHE WOULD ALWAYS GLOW WHEN SHE TALKED OF BYRON'S OR BUBBA'S BANDS. SHE WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE OF HER SONS. SHE LIVED CLOSE BY TO ME AND I WOULD ALWAYS SEE HER WALKING TO THE STORE WITH HER PW SHIRTS ON. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT WAS RAD.
DARTIS WAS ALWAYS MORE THAN NICE TO ME AND I NEVER HEARD HER HAVE A BAD WORD FOR ANYONE. SHE GAVE ME A PENNYWISE WRISTBAND FOR CHRISTMAS AND NOW THAT BRACELET MEANS A LOT MORE TO ME. JUST WRITING THIS IS A REAL BUMMER AND HURTS.
MUCH LOVE FROM THE RODRIGUEZ FAMILY TO THE MCMACKINS. BUBBA AND BYRON HAVE SHOWN A LOT OF PEOPLE A GOOD TIME AROUND HERE FOR YEARS, PAY THEM BACK BY SHOWIN' SOME LOVE AND SUPPORT IN THEIR TIME OF NEED.
LOVE YOU GUYS!

Very sad news, our condolences go out to the McMackin family and all those who knew her well.
Happy new year and Byron's birthday

I've got absolutely no news for a LONG time. Don't have a clue what the guys are doing. Besides wishing you all a happy New Year, December 30th was also Byron's birthday. If I'm not mistaken, the youngest member of Pennywise turned 39!!
Congrats to Byron!!
